Position Description
Our client is looking for an experienced developer in New York City. The emphasis is on server-side Java development with additional opportunities in other technologies. The candidate will participate in application design, development and integration in addition to interacting with the business.
They must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of application development. taking high-level requirements, turning them into a working application and then deploying that application.
Experience of the securities lending or repo business, while not required, will be desirable and the candidate will be expected to build an understanding of the business model.
Skills Required
* Strong experience in Java, primarily server-side
* Strong understanding of application development concepts
* Solid development practices
* Ability to effectively work with business requirements
Skills Desired
* Java
* Sybase and/or DB2
* Messaging
* Spring
* Enterprise Integration Patterns
* Experience of Securities Lending or Repo.
