Financial Analyst in NJ
IT Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract-to-hire position. The IT Financial Analyst will be
responsible for updating and evaluating information presented in weekly and monthly reporting, expense and capital budget tracking, general ledger account analysis, journal entry preparation and ad-hoc reporting.
JOB DESCRIPTION - IT Financial Analyst:
* Prepares account reconciliations and reviews as part of monthly close process.
* Obtains and prepares required supporting schedules.
* Establishes PIC culture in IT.
* Identifies errors and/or trends in system data to improve accuracy, timeliness and general flow of transactions and accounting data.
* Responds promptly and correctly to inquiries from internal and external auditors.
* Creates and maintains databases.
* Creates Value-added reporting.
* Ensures SOX compliance for all processes and procedures.
* Special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS - IT Financial Analyst:
* Four year Accounting / Finance degree required, CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus.
* Min. 2 years related work experience.
* Ability to work and prioritize in a complex and changing organization.
* Experience working independently and in groups in order to achieve departmental goals.
* Proficiency in spreadsheet and computerized accounting applications.
* Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form and relate effectively with others.
